our theme this time around is

:icontinyeagerplz:give us your take on the theme. we don't want to see a lot of exact interpretations.  
you're creative, make something out of the ordinary!:icontinyeagerplz:
we're doing things a bit differently with this contest which, hopefully,
will make ALL of our members feel that they have of winning, regardless
of what mediums they work with.
instead of having three winners, we will judge things within categories. we will choose one winner from each category.
the categories will be very similar to the folders in our gallery.

This month we already have an ongoing Black and White and Red Challenge Link which is coming along nicely... have a look at the entries so far in our gallery here: Link
In addition to this we would like to throw down a challenge to all members to create something using the Outside Colouring Trap the Light Fantastic which can be found in tma.ucl.
This colouring by Toby Marshall has a great many parameters to play with but don't be put off by the complexity, exploring what's on offer is half the fun! Most parameters alter the trap shape but there is a comprehensive choice of texture parameters too so we would encourage you all to have a good look around and play with whatever parameter sections take your fancy. Our Summer Contest!
Hello again everyone!
Just a reminder that our Summer Contest ends on September 23rd, so please submit your best Summer flower work if you haven't yet done so. Please check out the updated prizes below and good luck to each of you!
Rules:
All art mediums are welcome, but must coincide with the Summer theme.
You may submit only one image, so choose your best!
Your work must have been created between the dates of June 21st and Sept 23rd this year.
Southern Hemisphere friends: You're welcome to participate too! Your work must have been created between the dates of December 21st and March 
  Creature Feature ContestThe theme for our current contest is: Fractal Creature!
Simple Rules
• Create an original fractal or fractal manipulation that best expresses "creature".  Creatureness. Animalosity.  Real or unreal.  Wild or tamed.
• Must be original - post date needs to be after the post date of this announcement.
• One entry per member.
• The contest folder will be open until September 20, 2014.
• Voting - see below - will run until the winners are announced September 28th

We're going to try a method of voting that will allow each member to vote for any submitted entry!
You'll need to send a note with your choice to the group or myself - LightBulbMoon.
